War 2 Box Office: Hrithik Roshan & Jr NTR Push Film Past ₹300 Cr Worldwide in Just 6 Days
War 2 has turned out to be one of the biggest films of 2025 so far. Released on August 14, this Ayan Mukerji spy-action movie brought Hrithik Roshan back as Kabir and introduced Jr NTR as Vikram. Fans were already hyped because of the YRF Spy Universe connection — and the numbers are showing it.

War 2 Box Office: Hrithik Roshan & Jr NTR Push Film Past ₹300 Cr Worldwide in Just 6 Days |
The opening was massive. Day one itself generated around ₹52 crore in net revenue in India, followed by ₹58 crore on day two. Independence Day holidays pushed the first weekend close to ₹190 crore net, which is huge. But after the long weekend, collections slowed down — day five and six were in the ₹8–9 crore range, bringing the total India net to about ₹197–198 crore.
Globally, though, the film is unstoppable. In less than a week, War 2 has crossed ₹300 crore worldwide — about ₹240 crore gross from India plus ₹60–65 crore from overseas markets. That’s a major win for YRF and shows how strong the Hrithik–NTR combo is overseas as well.
Performance-wise, Hrithik looks slick in every frame, Jr NTR brings serious intensity, and Kiara Advani fits perfectly as the new spy. Even Anil Kapoor’s special appearance got people talking. The action is top-class, though some people feel the story could have been tighter.
This box office run is happening while Rajinikanth’s Coolie is also doing big business, which makes it even more impressive. War 2 opened bigger, but Coolie seems to be holding better on weekdays — an interesting clash to watch.
